Thanks to our guide’s inexhaustible translating and the friendliness of all those we met we had an unforgettable trip. The original aim had been to have a fun ride and enjoy some nice scenery on the way.

My motorcycle adventure was so incredible that it is hard to put into words. For me, getting to know my fellow travellers is an important part of a holiday, and these people were easy to get to know.

I just wanted you to know that the journey I took with you was the highlight of my time away and was for me the journey of a lifetime. Whenever life gets a little stressful, I just close my eyes and think of the beautiful, lush valleys, the small villages tucked up high in the mountains, the people, the food, the beer, the pipes, and the MINSK!!!!

We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He speaks fluent Vietnamese (including the many village languages) so you can actually meet and talk to all the locals you meet. By the end of the trip we felt like we’d known him years.

Thanks again for the great time. My wife is dead keen to come back next year.

Digby was a great guide, too. Whenever anything needed to be done or said, he was always there to help us out. When you throw in the amazing scenery and the friendly hospitality of the Vietnamese people, you can understand why I would recommend this trip to anyone, regardless of their biking experience, as a must-do in Vietnam.

Motorbiking Vietnam is THE way to experience the countryside and people of northern Vietnam. Motorcycling through the mountains and fields is a very interactive experience, as everywhere you go people are smiling and waving to you as you pass by them!

Vietnam is an exhilarating place to ride. A great combination of quiet country tracks, bustling towns, frenetic cities and roads that go from bitchimun, to rock, to dirt, to mud to overflowing monsoonal rivers and land slides.

How can I begin to articulate the experience of our trip? How can I possibly describe the indescribable things we saw and tasted and heard and felt while motorbiking through Vietnam? It was an incredible trip, and my words, I fear, can’t possibly suffice.

One week on the Minsks through Vietnam’s northern mountains and we’re still grinning. Rivers, rock climbs, waterfalls, rice wine, sunsets over China, and endless laughter with the locals. The best week of our lives.

Every day was better than the one before, and more of a challenge. By the end, I craved more: more challenging terrain, more extraordinary people, more unidentifiable food.

This was much more than a holiday; it was a genuine, unique experience, an adventure in one of the most beautiful countries we have ever visited. A big thank you goes to our guide for being perfect — an inexhaustible translator, always ensuring we were part of the conversation with the locals.
