Having just returned from the Roof Ride of September 2009, I wanted to write and thank you for a most wonderful experience.

You suggested the Classic Hotel group in the old quarter of Hanoi for accommodation before and after the ride, and it was great. The facilities were good, the staff wonderful, even taking me on a city tour on their time off. Best of all, being situated in the old quarter, there were so many interesting shops, markets, and restaurants to choose from and only a short stroll away. Standing at the front door, it seemed possible to watch the whole life of the city unfold in front of you.

The trip was great. Everything I could have thought to ask for was provided. Digby was excellent, as was the mechanic, spectacular scenery and breaks as and when required. With his guidance, I ate in places I would have walked past, not daring to enter on my own, and had some wonderful experiences.

As a result of this trip, I saw a side of Vietnam that most tourists would not get to see and scenery that would not usually be available. I have met a great many resourceful, generous and hardworking people.
