I just wanted you to know that the journey I took with you was the highlight of my time away and was for me the journey of a lifetime. Whenever life gets a little stressful, I just close my eyes and think of the beautiful, lush valleys, the small villages tucked up high in the mountains, the people, the food, the beer, the pipes, and the MINSK!!!! The pure escapism and adventure of the trip etched such strong images in my mind. It helps me stay sane. I hope to do it again sometime.

I owe you a long-overdue thank you for showing me so much of real Vietnam, and thank you for your friendship while we were out there. A year is a long time, but given the impact the trip had on me, it feels only like yesterday, so please forgive my tardiness in thanking you.

I hope things are good with you and that you are happy and that your day job is still “enjoyable”. Hopefully you’ve been able to ditch the day job and do the tours full:-)
