Many thanks to you Digby for having organized and led this ride and for having turned it into such a success — great ride, great cause — and also, great people, beautiful scenery, fantastic food, an overall great time — we even had good fortune with the weather. Of course, it wasn’t just luck (except maybe for the weather) — I didn’t escape my notice that you guys brought to bear your expertise and experience with planning, itinerary, logistics, organization, route-picking, menus, spare parts etc. etc. all of which operated smoothly and quietly behind the scenes (from my perspective) every day to deliver a first class experience in every way.

I’d love to come back to Vietnam and see the north – in fact, right now I can hardly get my head back into my work and the daily grind, for day-dreaming about Vietnam. And I’d kind of like to see Angkor Watt, too.

I’m looking forward to seeing some video footage. I’ve looked at most of the pictures — mine and the others — and they’re OK, but of course, static. And a lot of pics of bikes parked on the road, which does not really capture or convey the feeling. I’lll be writing a report on ADV Rider and will use that platform to promote the Rally and the charity side including next year’s ride. So if you could put together a film (or even just a video montage) for me I’ll post it into the beginning of the report, hook people in.

Looking forward to the next ride!
