If you want to experience beautiful landscapes, meet the friendliest people and generally feel alive, make sure you do it straddling 125cc of raw Minsk.
Top-class guiding through remote, apparently unassailable tracks gives you the confidence to reach areas you were destined never to see. Make sure you have sampled all the possible rice wines there are to taste. (OLLY)
Quite the best few days I’ve ever spent; a big thanks to Digby who made it all possible. I had never ridden a motorbike before I went – we managed to find the only quiet spot in Hanoi to learn – although it was terrifying to cross the city to the train station after so little experience!
The landscapes were fantastically beautiful and the people amazingly
friendly.
We managed to find routes along which our very presence was a surprise, especially a 6’5 (194cm), blond, pasty-skinned person. Digby’s Vietnamese and motorbike repair skills came as a godsend at almost every interval.
